Robert Bauer was a commercial artist with a concentration in landscapes and portraits. He ran Bauer Art Service in New York. He work was used in a poster to promote the buying of US war bonds for WWII. It was also used to raise money for the China Emergency Relief Committee in 1941. A photo of the artist is shown in this listing, but is not included in the sale.
27x32 inches framed; 25 x 30 inches canvas.

Good condition, minor surface grime, The canvas has been repaired and retouched in a small area. Craquelure throughout. The frame is in poor condition but stable.
