An antique 18th to 19th-century gilt hand-carved wooden plaque, an oval medallion depicting the Greek Medusa. Medusa, also called Gorgo, is an Ancient Greek mythological creature, a woman with snake hair who turned those who looked at her into stone. The medallion has a suspension on the backside.
