ANTIQUE CHINESE MING DYNASTY SWATOW CERAMIC BOWL
An antique Chinese, Ming Dynasty, Swatow ceramic bowl. The exterior of the bowl is adorned with hand enameled cobalt blue scrolling ornaments, raised on a low pedestal. The interior and the border are adorned with cobalt blue motifs. Circa: late 18th century to early 19th century. Swatow ware or Zhangzhou ware is a loose grouping of mainly late Ming dynasty Chinese export porcelain wares initially intended for the Southeast Asian market.
