ITALIAN MARBLE BUST OF JOAN OF ARC BY GIUSEPPE BESSI
Carved white marble sculpture by Giuseppe Bessi or Besfi, 1857 to 1922, an Italian sculptor and director of the Art School of Volterra. The artwork represents a bust of Joan of Arc, 1412 to 1431, a patron saint of France known for her participation in the Hundred Years War. Titled Jeanne d Arc on the base. Condition
Overall good vintage condition. Signs of age and wear. Some cracks and scratches. The back right corner has been repaired. Refer to photos. Sold As Is.
