AUSTRIAN LADY LITHOGRAPH BY GUSTAV KILMT WITH COA
Gustav Klimt, Austrian, 1862 to 1918, color lithograph on paper, Lady with a Fan, after the original oil painting, 1917 to 1918. Signed with a facsimile signature, lower right. Numbered 66 of 300, lower left. Completed with a certificate of authenticity, signed and stamped with a seal, Edition Impression Certified Arts. Lady with a Fan was the final portrait created by Gustav Klimt. Painted in 1917, the uncommissioned piece depicting an unidentified woman was on an easel in his studio when he died in 1918. Like many of Klimts late works, it incorporates strong Asian influences including many Chinese motifs. Gustav Klimt was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. Klimt is noted for his paintings, murals, sketches, and other objets dart. Klimts primary subject was the female body, and his works are marked by a frank eroticism. European Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
