A large antique early 20th-century French abalone shell with hand-carved decor. The piece represents a woman and man with a telescope on the seashore. Fine detail work. Hand-engraved title at the top, Villers-sur-Mer, referring to a town in Normandy, France. There is a suspension on the backside.
