Robert Motherwell, American, 1915 to 1991, an original etching and aquatint, Gesture I State I, 1977. Signed, Artist Proof, and numbered 5 of 15 on pencil, lower right. Framed. Stamped, Fine Art New York, on the backside. Robert Motherwell was an American abstract expressionist painter, printmaker, and editor of The Dada Painters and Poets: an Anthology. He was one of the youngest of the New York School, which also included Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, and Mark Rothko. American Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
