EGYPTIAN ALABASTER OFFERING TABLE
Ca. 2465-2150 BC.An alabaster offering table composed of a broad circular top with a thick, raised rim with a sloping side. It sits on a central cylindrical stem flaring to the disk foot. These tables played a pivotal role in religious rituals, serving as a conduit for offerings to the gods. Size: 130mm x 290mm; Weight: 3.5kg Provenance: Property of a North London gentleman; from a Private collection formed in Paris in the 1970-90s, acquired on the French art market, Drouot.
