Louis Marx "Knockout Champs" Automaton 1928
When fully wound-up, and with liver on the side of the toy depressed, the boxers swing their arm back and forth and rotate as if boxing. After several seconds, the bell rings ending the round and the boxers stop boxing. The action is somewhat aggressive and it is surprising that the celluloid boxers are in such excellent condition. The tinplate lithographed scene around the boxing arena of the period with typical characters. This is the scarce version with a black boxer.
