Shabbos Kodesh in the sacred presence of the Admor of Satmar

Letter by the Rebbetzin of Lanzut to Her Brother Rabbi Moshe Halberstam.

A beautiful letter penned by the righteous Rebbetzin Chaya Wagschal of Lanzut wife of Rabbi Yehoshua Wagschal of Lanzut, to her brother the eminent Rabbi of the Badatz Eidah Hachareidis in Yerushalayim Rabbi Moshe Halberstam (1832-2006), author of Divrei Moshe and Rosh Yeshivas Divrei Chaim-Chakeve.

This letter is replete with family matters, and includes a vivid description of a delightful Shabbos spent in Williamsburg basking in the holiness of Rabbeinu Hakadosh of Satmar. She describes davening in the shul and concludes with a prayer that “we should always merit basking in his sacred presence in complete health, and he should draw bounty upon us and upon all of Yisroel with public and personal salvations.”
