"Zohar Chadash" – Amsterdam, 1701. With antique signatures and corrections.

The book "Zohar Chadash" (new Zohar) was printed by the Tanna Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. Amsterdam, printed by Moshe Mindis Koitinyo in 1701.

The book includes the rare final page (P. 90) which is missing in some copies. In the editions and corrections made by the Amsterdam dayan, Rabbi Yitzchak b"r Avraham z"l, he added a beautiful and long introduction praising the printing of the book and the great importance of studying the hidden Torah even in foreign lands. The book includes approbations from rabbis of Amsterdam, Krakow, Frankfurt, Ma'atz, Berlin, Lysa, Gluga, and Kliwa. At the end of the book, there is an explanation of the words in the Zohar according to the order of Aleph-Bet.

The title page contains several antique signatures, and throughout the book, there are handwritten corrections.

Among the signatures are:

"In this God has given me, the holy Abraham, son of the late [name] z"l."
"The land and its fullness, the humble David Yehuda Leib ben [Eliezer], known as Lipman z"l, from the town of Roth, near the community of Pirdah."
"This book belongs to the young Abraham Bumslah from Prague."
Rabbi Abraham Bumslah was the son of the renowned Rabbi Leib Fishles, who served as the head of the Yeshiva in Prague after the passing of his father, the famous Rabbi Meir Fishles (the Maharim Bumslah), a member of the Beit Din of the "Noda B'Yehuda" z"l, and he taught many students. The name Rabbi Abraham Fishles appears in several books. (See his mention in the introduction of "Horesh Gever, " page 31, in the notes).
