AN OTTOMAN FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS
Of classic form, the carved hardwood stock elaborately inlaid with silver flowering vinework studs and carnelians, with brass buttplate, counterplate and triggerguard engraved. The engraved flintlock mechanism with interesting period repair to the cock, the massive barrel with flared muzzle elaborately inlaid with heavy silver in vinework motifs. Late 18th-early 19th century. Well worn overall, forearm cap replaced. Overall length 50cm / 19 ??. Condition IV
