Marie Rogers Face Jug
Outstanding Marie Rogers (1922-2010) Face Jug. Outstanding example of southern folk pottery right here. This signed and stamped Marie Rogers double handle face jug with great decoration on the reverse side with two lizards and grape decorations. The facial features are extremely crude and folky as only Marie Rogers could create. This has exceptional glass runs and highly detailed facial features that Marie was known for. Slip and paint rock glaze. Signed on base, also stamped under the left lug handle. Fresh from the Gainesville, GA area selection. Standing 10 1/2 tall
