Scarce Ferguson Family Barrow Co. Ga 3gal Churn This is a great example of a alkaline glazed Ferguson family churn with a great glaze. The churn is circa 1850s and is pre civil war era. The churn has strong Ferguson handle traits and was original potted in Jackson Co. which is present day Barrow Co. These are some of the most sought after examples in Georgia stoneware today. The strong robust form points to the Ferguson family hailing from Edgefield South Carolina and settling in Jackson Co. This churn is from a private collection form South Carolina and is in great condition. It has one small glaze chip restoration on the lip. Nothing major and done to museum quality standards. Standing 15 1/2" Tall
