Simply one of the best Arie Meaders unglazed face jug, noted this is something special due that this was Arie first face jug that did not blow up in the klin, note the pencil hole's in the bottom to vent air during firing. This jug is dated on the bottom 1967, this has been a one owner, never before offered to the public, she purchsed this jug after Cheever Meaders death from Arie out of their home, her and Arie were close friends throught life, jug is in meseum condition, no damage or repairs. Jug has eyes, hair, ear's, mouth and just a great addation to any collection in southern folk pottery, a must have and truly a once in a lifetime opportunity with two Arie Meaders face jugs at public auction, This is our first time and is with great pleasure to auction two Arie Meaders face jug' out of a private collection from North Georgia.
