ARTIST BIO LAWRENCIA OZIOKOBIOLawrencia Ozioko (b. 1993, Nsukka) is contemporary Nigeria artist working primarily with painting.Ozioko?s artistic practice contemplates the delicate essence of the human body and the ongoing introspection of oneself within our fragile nature. Inspired by personal encounters with neglect within healthcare, Lawrencia employs acrylic paint and tissue paper to create poignant depictions of the human form.Ozioko earned her Bachelor?s Degree in Fine and Applied Arts (Painting Major) from the University of Benin Edo State in 2018 and has been selected for several group exhibitions and mentorship programs. She currently lives and works in Surulere, Lagos state Nigeria.
