Join us for an amazing auction dedicated to vintage and antique quilts and related textiles. This will be the first of our auctions to include textiles from the Estate of Laura Fisher. New York based Laura Fisher, was a world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author. Her antique quilts were exhibited all over the globe, she made appearances with Martha Stewart, and was published in several magazines over the years. In offering these textiles for sale we hope to continue to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.

Antique Sawtooth 9 Patch Crib Quilt c1880s
Antique c1880s Sawtooth framed 9 Patch crib quilt measuring 43x52 inches. 6 blocks 8.5x8.5, set on point 2 by 3, with floral printed alternate squares and setting triangles are framed by madder and sawtooth borders, with an outer border of the same floral print as the setting pieces. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. The backing is pieced Bars or Strippy Back, found in some antique PA quilts. Quilt is in good condition with some fading. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher's estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
