WWII Era 1943 Swiss Defender Waterproof Watch W/ R.J. Volpi 1943 Navy Hawaii Baseball Champions Engraving On Back - Very Scarce
This WWII Era 1943 Swiss Defender watch is an incredible piece of history and has crossover appeal as a wartime military and baseball collectible. The case back features an engraving indicating that it belonged to R.J. Volpi as a member of the 1943 Navy Baseball Team that won the Hawaii League Baseball Championship in 1943. Ray Volpi played professional baseball before the war and made it as high as AA Baseball with Kansas City in 1942.
