ארגון הנשים הערביות הוקם ב 1929 הארגון ראה עצמו כחלק מהתנועה הלאומית הערבית בנוסף לנושאים בנוסף לנושאים הקשורים בנשים אותם רצו לקדם. בין השאר הם פעלו למען זכויות של נשות האסירים של המרד הערבי ב 1936, וניסו להשפיע על זכויות הנשים בחברה הערבית ועל שיפור אפשרויות החינוך לילדות הערביות. בשנת 1937 הייתה בצורת קשה בארץ והחברה הערבית התקשתה להתמודד עם אלפי היתומים שהסתובבו בארץ.
