RUSSIAN ANTI-AMERICAN POSTER
Anti-American poster from 1982 by Kukryniksy with text translated as, 'They are lying! Their image in the water is contradicting to their words. - He started the dirty fight - and was thrown in the pipe.' The poster points to Russian skepticism with trusting Americans and combines this with contemporary Russian events, like building an oil pipe to Europe. Kukryniksy was a group of three Soviet artists including Mikhail Kupriyanov, Porfiri Krylov, and Nikolai Sokolov who were known for their political cartoons starting in 1924 to Gorbachev. 19 x 13 inches.
