1872 71ST INFANTRY HAT
71st Infantry Hat dating from 1872, with leather brim and felt outer, two gold-colored infantry-style buttons, with black wool pom pom. Marked on inside crown 'Hartley & Graham', with inscription from previous owner 'Lieut. Conley - J.E. Conley'. Leather is creased and has scuffing on bottom edge, loss and abrasions on inside crown, and leather strapped used to hold pom pom is broken.
