POW mail – Cover sent to a Jordanian POW. Amman to POW camp 'B' in Israel. January 1949
An envelope sent by Ali Abdul Rahman to Mahmoud Galeb Hassan Namira, a prisoner in IDF POW camp B.
The envelope was sent via the Red Cross from Amman Jordan bearing Transjordanian stamps. 12 January 1949. The round purple seal is by the Israeli censor. The fainter black hexagonal one is by the Jordanian censor.
Israel held only 17 Jordanian POWs. And these envelopes should be very rare.
