A 84 Russian silver-mounted cut-glass decanter, Moscow, 1908-1917, maker's mark Cyrillic VK

Provenance - Sotheby's London July 11/2023

Tapering body, the neck mount cast and chased with cartouches surrounded by foliate scrolls, the handle chased with overlaid leaves, the hinged cover with a gadrooned domed finial, the interior of the silver mount gilt, struck to the spout, cover and neck with maker's initials and 84 standard.

Very good condition overall, some tarnishing to the silver consistent with age, a couple of very small scattered chips and scratches.
