Rare 18th century Franch mantel clock known as "with the rising lion" in very finely chiseled bronze and gilded with matt gold.

The circular white enamelled dial, indicates the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in increments of five in Arabic numerals by two pierced and gilded copper hands. The movement, with the striking of the hours and half-hours, is enclosed in a neoclassical case with a lion's figure in very finely chiselled bronze and gilded with matt gold.

In very good condition relative to the age of the watch, the mechanism and integrity of the watch have not been tested.
