Siddur Baal HaTanya Nusach (Ha’Ari) Chabad

Classic Chabad Prayerbook Printed by the Mitteler Rebbe; Kapost, 1816

Beautiful wide margin copy

Prayers for the entire year according to Nusach Ari, with a commentary, halachic rulings and Chassidic essays authored by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi- the Alter Rebbe, known to all as “the Baal HaTanya, " founder and patriarch of the Chabad-Lubavitch dynasty.

In compiling this siddur, the Admor clarified and instituted the exact version of prayer based on the intentions brought down by the holy Ari, establishing the precise nussach Baal HaTanya, widely used today by many and especially by Chabbad Chassidim.
This siddur was brought to print four years after the passing of the Baal HaTanya by his son and successor, Rabbi Dov Ber, known as the “Mitteler Rebbe.”

This is the first edition published with the Baal HaTanya’s Chassidic essays and is referred to by Chassidim as “siddur im dach.” (Divrei Elokim Chaim).

There is an endorsement from the Mitteler Rebbe attesting that these original essays are indeed from his father, part of which were taken from his own handwritten manuscript, and part of which were taken from sermons he delivered on Friday night, which the Mitteler Rebbe then inscribed and which was later proofread by his father, the Baal HaTanya.

Part one – Prayers for Weekday: Sha’ar HaTzitzis, Sha’ar HaTefilln, Sha’ar HaTefilah, Sha’ar Krias Shema, Sha’ar Talmud Torah, Sha’ar Birchas HaMazon, Birchos HaNehenin and homilies for weddings.

Part two – Prayers for Shabbos and Holidays: intentions for the mikveh, Sha’ar Rosh Chodesh, Sha’ar HaMo’adim, Sha’ar Rosh Hashana, Sha’ar Tekiyos, Sha’ar HaSukkos, Sha’ar Chanuka V’Purim, Sha’ar Chag HaMatzos and Sha’ar Lag Ba’omer
Published in Kapost, 1816, in the printing house of Rabbi Yisrael Yaffe (disciple of the Baal HaTanya).
