Tikkunei HaZohar. Shapira Press. Slavita, 1821

Exceptional copy with wide margins!  REBBISHER COPY !!!

This beautiful and impressive sefer, featuring extra wide margins, was the first edition of Tikkunei HaZohar printed in Slavita.

This sefer was printed in Slavita by the Admor Rabbi Moshe Shapira, son of the Admor Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz.

Tikunei Zohar contains seventy tikkunim on the first word in the Torah, “Bereishis, ” as taught by the holy Tanna Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. It was edited and proofread based on the Constantinople edition.

Glosses by the Ramaz and sources, entitled Derech Emes, were printed in the margins.

Slavita, 1821 . Page Count: 154 leaves. The title and city where the sefer was printed are embossed in red ink.

Distinguished provenance! The personal copy of the Admor Rabbi Leibish Halperin of Brezhen!

The Admor Rabbi Leibish Halperin of Brezhen (circa 1848-1929) was the prime disciple of the Admor Rabbi Chaim of Sanz who instructed his talmid to open a Chassidic court and promised him that he would engender miracles and salvations. The Admor of Shinova quoted his father in expressing that Rabbi Leibish Halperin was an “adam gadol” and the Maharsham would often consult with him regarding issues related to the spiritual elements of the city, such as the mikveh and accepting a new shochet. Rabbi Leibish married the daughter of the Admor Rabbi Yoel of Shatz. His teachings are eternalized in his sefer Imrei Yehudah (Munkacs, 1908).
