A Splendid Sterling Silver and Silver Filigree Etrog Container, Bezalel, Israel, After 1947
Set with garnet almandine cabochons and a turquoise on the handle tip. Decorated with fine silver filigree.
Bears engraved dedication on the lid to Stephen Shalom from the Porat Yosef Yeshiva in Jerusalem, dated 1970.
Also bears etched inscription: "And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook".
Marked Jerusalem and "Made in Israel" on the underside.
