Signed First Day of Issue envelope by Vargas, featuring a postage stamp commemorating the United Nations and post marked at the United Nations, New York, 10th December 1952. A newspaper portrait of Vargas is affixed to the left side of the envelope and has a brief typed caption beneath. Signed ('Getulio Vargas') by the President in dark fountain pen ink with his name alone, the conclusion of the signature slightly obscured by the postal cancellation.
