DOYLE ARTHUR CONAN: (1859-1930) Scottish author, creator of Sherlock Holmes. A small 8vo ruled page removed from a notebook bearing Doyle's three holograph scores from a game of billiards, n.p., n.d. ( ‘August’). The list of scores includes two for Doyle himself, signing with his initials ( ‘ACD’) in the left column alongside a score of 76, and with the other two scores recorded as 44 and 49. VG
