THATCHER MARGARET: (1925-2013) British Prime Minister 1979-90. T.L.S., Margaret Thatcher, with holograph salutation and subscription, one page, 4to, London, 18 ^th May 1975, to Jonah Barrington, on the printed stationery of the House of Commons. Thatcher states that she was delighted to receive her correspondent’s letters and the photograph of his wife’s portrait, continuing to add that she is interested to read that it may shortly be loaned to the Committee Rooms in Hove and remarking ‘I fear, however, that I shall not be able to be able to see you with it, as my Diary is exceptionally full for the coming months. I am sure you will understand that I am heavily committed both in and out of Parliament’. Accompanied by a reproduction of Barrington’s portrait of Thatcher, neatly mounted to a card. VG, 2
