BRENNAN WALTER: (1894-1974) American actor, the first Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actor in 1936 for his role as Swan Bostrom in Come and Get It, winning the award on a further two occasions, in 1938 for his role as Peter Goodwin in Kentucky and again in 1940 for his role as Judge Roy Bean in The Westerner. Vintage signed and inscribed sepia 7.5 x 9.5 photograph of Brennan in an engaging head and shoulders pose. Signed in dark fountain pen ink to a clear area of the image and dated 1942 in his hand.
