MONTGOMERY B. L.: (1887-1976) British Field Marshal of World War II. Vintage signed 5 x 7 photograph of Montgomery kneeling in a full-length pose, wearing his uniform and beret, as he solemnly places a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the foot of the Congress Column in Brussels, 13th July 1954. The original Belgian press photograph bears a credit stamp and printed caption in Dutch to the verso. Signed ( ´Montgomery of Alamein, F.M.´) in turquoise fountain pen ink to a light area at the base of the image.
