Megilah Tractate – Special Edition – Zhitomir 1855
Megilah tractate. The Shapira brothers printing press. Zhitomir 1855.
Special edition, different from most other editions of the Talmud in the current era. In the edition before us, each two pages constitute one page of the regular editions.
At the end of the book, a signature: Moshe Aharon Aryeh ben Rabbi Eliezer Dan" –this is signature of Rabbi Moshe Aharon Ralbag, the son of Rosh Av Beit Din Ralbag, head of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva of Jerusalem.
[62] 33-34 leaves.
Condition: Fair. The first leaf is missing (leaf B) and the two leaves of the title page. Prominent moth signs (especially from leaf 20 and onwards), especially on the margins of the leaves. Many stains and wear. No binding.
