Manuscript - Commentary by One of the Rishonim on the Book of Yesha'ayahu - a Segment of a Totally Unknown Commentary - the 15th Century
Five leaves in Sephardic script, the 15th century, with a segment from a commentary of one of the Rishonim on the Book of Yesha'ayahu. This commentary is totally unknown! Has never been printed!
Several leaves of the commentary on chapters 35-42 (maybe more). The known commentaries by the Rishonim on the book of Yesha'ayahu include those of the Ibn Ezra, Rashi, Radak, Rabbi Yosek Karo. However, the commentary before us is not one of them and it is totally unknown. A match was not found between this commentary and known manuscripts of commentaries on Yesha'ayahu. A most important discovery!
The manuscript was examined by Prof. Binyamin Richler, the ex-director of the Institute of Microfilmed Hebrew Manuscripts of the National Library.
Condition: The leaves are torn and were greatly damaged by worming.
