Rif - Sabbioneta, 1554-1555 – Three Volume
Hilchot Rav Alfas, with the commentators. Sabbioneta [1554-1555]. First edition of "Shiltei Ha'Giborim" by Rabbi Yehoshua Boaz.
Ownership inscription on the title page of the first volume and several glosses in Oriental script. Ownership inscription on the title page of the second volume.
Three lacking copies: Volume A: 98, 97-170, [2], 171-187, 189-225, 225-229, [1], 227-267, 265-410 leaves. Volume B: [1], 402-553 (Originally: [1], 402-778 leaves). 226 leaves are lacking. Volume C: 159 leaves (originally: 398 [should be 396], 54 leaves). 292 leaves are lacking.

Condition: Varying. Many leaves are in good condition while others are in fair, fair-bad condition. Stains and wear. Signs of dampness and moth signs. Much moth damage to the third volume. Two of the title pages are crudely torn. Restored tears with damage to text in several leaves. One volume has a new leather binding, a second has a old, worn leather binding and the third volume has no binding.
