1929 Hamburg - 1995 Hamburg - aus: "Totentanz" - (1973/74) - Aquatintaradierung/Papier. P(robedruck). 49 x 42 cm, 52,5 x 44,5 cm (Passepartoutausschnitt). Monogr. und dat. r. u.: HJ (19)74. Passepartout. Unter Glas gerahmt. Janssen studierte von 1946-51 bei Prof. Mahlau an der Kunsthochschule in Hamburg. Er erhielt mehrere Preise für sein grafisches Werk, so 1964 den Kunstpreis der Stadt Darmstadt. Seine Arbeiten wurden international ausgestellt, und im November 2000 wurde das Horst-Janssen-Museum in Oldenburg eröffnet.
