Letters – Breslev Hassidism – Lag B’Omer in Meron
Collection of letters from the greatest Breslev Hassidim in Eretz Israel.
1. Lengthy interesting letter, concerning the printing and distribution of Breslev books, by Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel Frankel. Typewritten upon official stationary of the “Construction Committee of the Breslev Beit Midrash in Jerusalem”. He mentions that “we have risked our lives to print all of the abovementioned books during the war while being prohibited by the government to do so without license…”.
2. Postcard concerning family matters, handwritten and signed by the Hassid Rabbi Shmuel Horowitz [author of Yemei Shmuel]. Meron, (1958). “Please prepare yourselves for the journey to Meron on Lag B’Omer”.
3. Postcard from the Horowitz family, regarding rental of rooms in Meron for those coming on Lag B’Omer. (1963).
4. Paper note of a letter by Rabbi Natan Berski (grandson of Rabbi Nachman of Breslev) to his son’s teacher: “Please grant my son Yisrael permission to travel to Miren on Lag B’Omer” [Jerusalem, c. 1939.].
