Author: Rabbi Yisrael of Shklou, the author of 'Taklin Chadtin' and the student of the Vilna Gaon. Was one of the heads of the Jewish community in Zefat and in the introduction to the book before us, he describes the hardships the Jewish community, and he personally, had gone through during the famous Farmers' Revolt in 1834.
This is one of the first books printed by Yisrael Beck in the land of Israel (in Zefat).
