Hoda’ah LeMehadrin Achrei Ethrogei Eretz HaKedosha. Issued by Yehuda Leib and Binyamin Beinush Salant.
Broadside, two printed pages. Margins slightly chipped. Sm. folio.
J. Bril, Mainz: 1876.
Issued by Binyamin Beinush Salant (1838-99) son of Jerusalem’s Chief Rabbi Shmuel Salant. This broadside warns the public from obtaining ethrogs grown on the Greek island of Corfu due to suspected horticultural graft. Instead ethrogim grown by Salant in Eretz Israel are here promoted as being beyond reproach.
