The book Chevel Ya'akov, Vilnius, 1881. On the back binding, a long scholarly responsum by Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis – Kalvarija, 1937 – just before he immigrated to the Land of Israel. Rabbi Bengis sent the responsum to his brother-in-law Rabbi Caleb Meir Ziv, Gaon Av Beit Din, who later perished in the Holocaust.
At the beginning of the book, an ownership stamp: "Meir the son of Rabbi Yehoshua Zvi Robinson Av Beit Din of Dradushkevitz", who immigrated to the Land of Israel in his old age and lived in Jerusalem. He died there in 1933.
Condition: Good. Detached binding. The Forsazt leaf is slightly torn. Slight tears and time stains.
