Sarajevo Ashkenazi Synagogue - New Jewish Year Postcard
Shana Tova postcard depicting the Sarajevo Ashkenazi Synagogue, titled in German, alongside greetings for the new year in Hebrew and German. Published by Buchwald & Cie, Sarajevo. Bosnia and Herzegovina (former Yugoslavia and the Austro-Hungarian empire). The postcard was printed shortly after the synagogue construction in 1902. It remained the only active synagogue in the city. Sent via Military Post in 1905. Good condition, missing stamp, wear.
