Regency Timepiece, Charles Fontana, High Wycombe
A Regency carved mahogany mantel timepiece, Charles Fontana, High Wycombe, early 19th century, the four-inch circular enameled dial having Roman numerals, with platform escapement, the backplate with FAST/SLOW adjustment, incised C. Fontana HIGH WYCOMBE and numbered 14628.
Dimensions:height 9 1/4in; width 7in; depth 3 1/2in.
Provenance:From a Bucks County Estate.
Condition: The case in overall good condition, typical marks, wear, scuffs and surface scratches. Small chips and flea bites to the edges of the enameled dial, minor yellowing/discoloring to the center of the dial. The timepiece is currently maintaining power. We cannot guarantee completeness and functionality of movement.
