Philadelphia Late Classical Mahogany Sideboard
A Philadelphia Late Classical mahogany sideboard, circa 1825, having a rectangular backboard with shaped sides above three outset frieze drawers on columnar pilasters enclosing two recessed doors and three drawers, raised on carved leaf and paw feet, having a slide to the right side.
Dimensions:height 49 1/2in; width 58 1/2in; depth 22 1/2in
Provenance:Descended through a Germantown family., Sold, Freeman's, Philadelphia, November 14, 2013, "The Pennsylvania Sale", Lot 473.
Condition: Structurally sound. Retaining an old finish. The top with marks, wear, staining and age cracks. The glass pulls are later replacements. Typical dings, dents, scuffs and surface scratches overall.
