An Elkington Silver Plated Plaque, 1876
A large example designed by Leonard Morel-Ladeuil for the 1876 Exhibition in Philadelphia. With engraved information verso as pictured.. The lot includes the 1876 edition of "The Art Journal" published by Virtue and Company, London in which the plaque is illustrated and discussed on page 278.
Dimensions:The plaque is 20 1/2" in diameter, the book is 13" x 9 1/2".
Condition: The plaque is in good condition, the contents of the book are in good condition but the binding is in poor condition.
