David Guilmet, Bucks County Folk Art Landscape
David Guilmet (American, 20th Century) An Indian summer view of the Farm & Stock of James C. Cornell of Northampton, Bucks County Pennsylvania. That took the Premium in the Agricultural Society, October the 12, 1848, oil on canvas, signed and dated verso 'David Guilmet 1999', in a modern molded flame mahogany veneered frame.
Dimensions: Canvas 36 1/4 x 48 1/2in; frame 461/4 x 58 1/4in.
Condition:
The canvas has an intentionally antiqued surface including craquelure. There is a small loss to the upper left quadrant of the surface treatment over the paint. The frame with typical marks, wear, nicks and surface scratches.
