His collection reflects his interest in the Delaware Valley, with an emphasis on mid 18th through early 19th century silversmiths and figured hardwoods vetted by his discerning eye for form and surface. Among the highlights are a Thomas Stretch Philadelphia clock, a collection of figured maple furniture, and silver by noted makers such as Joseph Richardson Sr. and Richard Humphreys.

Three Early Thumbprint/Argus Flint Glass Compotes, Probably Bakewell, Pears & Co, Pittsburgh, Mid 19th Century. Comprising a pair and a larger example, each with rows of graduated thumbprints, a foot with scalloped rim and a shaped wafer joined shaft. 

Dimensions: Height of pair 9in; diameter 10in; Height of single 9 3/4in; diameter 11in.

Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.


Condition:

All in good condition, no apparent chips and no cracks.
