Louis XV Provincial Walnut Dressing Table, 18th Century
A Louis XV Provincial Walnut Dressing Table, Second Half 18th Century. The rectangular top with hinged center section, flanked by sliding ends, opening to reveal a mirror above a divided interior, fitted with a central hinged reading slope, having a removable book ledge, over a single drawer above an incised and scalloped apron to four sides, raised on slender cabriole legs.
Dimensions: Height 31in; width 30in; depth 23 3/4in.
Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection Curated by Bennett and Judie Weinstock, Philadelphia.
Condition:
Structurally sound. In an overall restored and refinished condition. Having a skinned surface. General marks, wear, abrasions, surface scratches, small losses and repairs throughout. All four legs have spliced repairs.
