A French Enameled, Gilt Bronze and Marble Mounted Black Slate Mantel Clock, Retailed by Alex M. Hays & Co., New York, Fourth Quarter 19th Century. The circular enameled dial having Arabic numerals, the twin train movement striking on a gong, the movement and pendulum are each numbered '5584'. Raised on a rectangular giltwood base.

Dimensions: Height 14 1/2in; width 11 1/2in; depth 6in.

Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection.


Condition:

Toning and discoloring to the metal mounts. Small scattered chips and fleabites to the slate along edges of case. The enamel dial with minor fleabites and losses. The enameled panels with wear, rubbing and losses. With pendulum and winding key. We cannot guarantee the completeness or functionality of the clock's movement.
