Possibly from the circle of Aert (Arent) de Gelder (1645 - 1727). A monumental work depicting Esther Before Ahasuerus, unsigned. Housed in a modern frame.
Dimensions: 45in x 78in, the frame 90in x 57in.
Provenance: From a New Jersey collection.
Condition:
Relined, there is an old canvas patch to the reverse, areas of paint chipping, scattered inpainting.
