A Swiss Parcel Ebonized and Rosewood Grain-Painted Cylinder Music Box, Late 19th Century

Having a 4 1/2-inch cylinder playing six aires, the hinged lid having an applied paper tune sheet to the underside.

Dimensions: Height 5 1/4in; width 14 1/2in; depth 7 1/2in.

Provenance: From a Local Collection. 


Condition:

The case with heavy wear; marks, nick, abrasions, and surface scratches overall. The tune sheet is torn and missing a large piece to the corner. No key. No observed losses to the teeth on comb. The music box was maintaining power and in good playing order at the time the condition report was conducted. We cannot guarantee the playability and functionality of the movement.
